Vinyl cockpit cushion from C Cushions that are custom made but partially already pre-designed.

Yesterday I mentioned I like pre-fab boat solutions because they’re usually cheaper and faster than custom designed products and my example was the Wells Marine arch.  Today, I want to highlight vinyl coated foam cushions that are made by C Cushions in South Rockport, Texas.

C cushions in custom color and design

C Cushions are 1 1/2” closed cell foam cockpit cushions that are individually made to order but since they have been making them for 25 years, they have over 1,100 patterns for boats they’ve already worked with and that will speed up your ordering and delivery process.

C Cushions are easy to clean since they’re coated rather than zipped into a vinyl cover.  That also means they won’t absorb water and mildew and they stow more easily since their not as thick as regular foam.  You can even toss these in the water and play with them without causing them harm.

C Cushions come in a variety of finishes including smooth and Texas tough where they laminate a mesh material in with the vinyl coating for extra durability.  Flaps and tabs can be attached to add snaps, grommets, Velcro, turn locks or even a bolt rope.

C Cushions can be made in just about any shape and you can get seat backs, hinged seats and helm humps to help you see while seated.  There is a choice of nine colors and extra details are available like pin striping or adding your boat name.  Prices start around $35 per square foot which isn’t cheap but chances are, it’s the last set of cushion you’ll ever need for your boat.  Check out www.ccusions.com
